Shoes That Give Back - List of Charities and Organizations for Giving Tuesday

Ever since the beginning of Blvd Custom, we have made it our mission to make awesome shoes, support artists, and give back to our communities when we can.
Through partnerships, artist exclusive collections, and the help of all our amazing supporters, we have been able to raise thousands of dollars to various organizations to support and encourage their charitable efforts.
If you are able to donate this year and are looking for charities to support and give to, we have created a list of our favorite organizations and groups that we have been able to donate to in the past!

Give Back to the planet!

  • PangeaSeed Foundation & Seal Walls - "At PangeaSeed Foundation, we are an international nonprofit organization acting at the intersection of culture and environmentalism to further the conservation of our oceans.  Now, more than ever, we believe the synthesis between creative expression, nature, and society can powerfully (re)connect us and communities with the planet's most important ecosystem.  Our mission is to empower individuals and communities to create meaningful environmental change for oceans through Science, Education, and ARTivism (S.E.A.)."
  • Project Hiu - "Project Hiu's initiative is providing alternative income to fishermen in Indonesia.  Hiu is the Indonesian work for shark and is how they came up with the name!  By hiring the shark fishing boats and the locals that man them, Project Hiu seeks to engage the fisherman in the different roll of tourism.  Tourism is a natural and alternate income for the community as a while that simultaneously and effectively protects sharks."

Give Back to our communities!

  • American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) – “The ACLU dares to create a more perfect union — beyond one person, party, or side. Our mission is to realize this promise of the United States Constitution for all and expand the reach of its guarantees."
  • Service for Sight, Delta Gamma Philanthropy - "Service for Sight, supports the five schools founded by Delta Gammas for the visually impaired and other North American organizations that promote sight preservation and conservation. This philanthropy has been at the heart of the Delta Gamma mission since 1936 when a member who was blind, Ruth Billow, Eta-Akron, petitioned to adopt “Aid to the Blind” as our official philanthropy."
  • Share Our Selves - "Share Our Selves is committed to transforming the delivery of primary care to our patients by strengthening the relationship between our patients and providers, and coordinating your health care with a team that is committed to your health needs.  We emphasize care of the whole person through the comprehensive services offered at our health center, including medical and dental care, social services, behavioral health and seasonal outreach programs. Everyone is welcome at SOS, even if you are uninsured or cannot afford to pay."

Give Back for justice!

  • Atlanta Action Network – Protesters in Atlanta are demanding justice for George Floyd and an end to the system which killed him. Contribute to this bail fund to help ensure that if folks are targeted for arrest, we will be able to get them out of jail quickly.”
  • The Bail Project Inc – “The Bail Project, Inc. is an unprecedented effort to combat mass incarceration at the front end of the system. We pay bail for people in need, reuniting families, and restoring the presumption of innocence.”
  • Black Lives Matter – “#BlackLivesMatter was founded in 2013 in response to the acquittal of Trayvon Martin’s murderer. Black Lives Matter Foundation, Inc is a global organization in the US, UK, and Canada, whose mission is to eradicate white supremacy and build local power to intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities by the state and vigilantes. By combating and countering acts of violence, creating space for Black imagination and innovation, and centering Black joy, we are winning immediate improvements in our lives.”
  • American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) – “The ACLU dares to create a more perfect union — beyond one person, party, or side. Our mission is to realize this promise of the United States Constitution for all and expand the reach of its guarantees."
  • Black Trans Travel Fund – “The Black Trans Travel Fund is a mutual-aid fund developed for the purpose of providing Black transgender women with the financial resources necessary for them to be able to access their self-determined safest alternatives to travel.”
  • Committee to Protect Journalists – “The Committee to Protect Journalists is an independent, nonprofit organization that promotes press freedom worldwide. We defend the right of journalists to report the news safely and without fear of reprisal.”
  • Know Your Rights Camp – “Our mission is to advance the liberation and well-being of Black and Brown communities through education, self-empowerment, mass-mobilization and the creation of new systems that elevate the next generation of change leaders.”
  • COVID Bail Out NYC – “COVID Bailout NYC stands in fierce solidarity with protestors fighting for Black lives and against police murder and state violence. We bail out our Black & brown siblings in NYC jails, prioritizing those who are medically vulnerable. We cannot bail out protestors. But the same racist system that murders black and brown folks in the streets locks them up in Rikers and leaves them to die from COVID-19. Together, we can free them now!”
  • Innocence Project – “We exonerate the innocent through DNA testing and reform the criminal justice system to prevent future injustice.
